Movies to See

So I've finally compiled my list of movies to see for the next year and a half or so.  Yeah, a bit much I'm sure, but it should be fun.  Quick note:  these are not all movies that I'm just DYING to see.  Many of them are, but there are others that I just ramble on about or make a couple pondering insights.  For those that I can, I've included the official previews.
Enjoy!

Limitless

So I'm actually pretty excited for this movie.  Of the three coming out on the 18th, this is the one that I'm looking forward to the most.  One big reason? Uh, Bradley Cooper, DUH. Talk about hot!
But there's also the plot.  It seems like a legitimately interesting story.  I will admit that the preview seems to give a lot of the story a way (and I prefer to be surprised), but I'm still excited about seeing this.  Robert DeNiro plays the bad guy , which is also something I can appreciate.  Hopefully it's as good as I think it has the potential to be.

The Lincoln Lawyer

Now.  I can't decide exactly how I feel about this one.  I'm not usually a big fan on Matthew McConaughey (though I LOVED him in Tropic Thunder), but I'm hoping that this will be a way for him to redeem himself.  His (albeit sexy) chick-flick rom-coms are getting a bit old.  Yeah, I said rom-com.  I'm aware that it's lame.
But I'm hoping that this movie will be different.  It doesn't appear to have any romantic factor, though I'm not naïve enough to believe that it's impossible for one to show up.  I'm just excited at the opportunity to see McConaughey in a legitimate, serious role.  Fingers crossed!

This.  Looks. AWESOME.  I mean, come on.  Seth Rogen as the voice of a hilarious alien?  With Simon Pegg? It's the best combination ever! WHY HASN'T SOMEONE THOUGHT OF THIS BEFORE?!?
I don't really know what else to say about this...I'm just speechless.  Watch the trailer.  Please.  AND THEN COME SEE IT WITH ME.
(P.S. the end of this trailer...I just...I don't even know...)

Hop

Not gonna lie...I'm not entirely sure what this movie is about.  But the two (quite vague) previews that I've seen just look awesome.  According to IMDB, this is about the Easter bunny getting hit by a car and then trying to get back on track...which might just be stupid enough to be funny.  This isn't something that I will go out of my way to see (particularly if that involves actually buying a ticket) but I'll probably watch it at some point, either with RedBox or Netflix.  It looks like it could be fun.

Source Code

This looks pretty awesome.  Of the previews that I've seen it should definitely be worth it.  I like Jake Gyllenhaal (at least I liked him in Prince of Persia, which is the only role I can actually associate with him), and I think that this movie could really be worth a couple bucks.  I like the plot idea -- the fact that he is going to re-live that day until he does something right (and of course, figuring out exactly what to do is the whole problem).  And then the potential romance factor is a plus :)

Arthur

This looks cute.  It's another Russel Brand movie and there's Helen Mirren, who is just amazingly amazing and, of course, amazing.  Did I mention she's amazing?
Yeah.  Just happened.
But I'm not really sure how the movie itself will go.  The basic storyline is that Brand, who plays a 'wealthy playboy' falls in love with a woman (Jennifer Garner) who his family disapproves up, and it all threatens him getting his inheritance.  Not exactly original.  But nonetheless, it could be promising.  Russel brand will hopefully make this one worthwhile.  But I'll be saving it for a bored night alone with nothing better to do.  I doubt I'll be shelling out any cash.

Your Highness

Okay.  In all honesty, I don't even think I've even seen a preview for this movie.  But it has Danny McBride, James Franco, and Zooey Deschanel.  Nothing can possibly go wrong.

Rio

Okay, this actually looks pretty cute.  From what I can remember, a pampered bird somehow gets into the wild and doesn't even know how to fly.  It looks a bit amusing, so I'll probably see it at some point.    But not in theaters.  No money involved here.

Water for Elephants

So I never read the book, but I've always meant to and heard I've that it's wonderful.  And while the preview is quite vague, I still find myself interested in the movie.  I can only hope that Robert Pattinson doesn't end up making me want to cry (and of course, I mean in the bad way...I would never happily cry for him).

Thor

Now this movie looks good, but I also feel that it's not all that exciting -- there's not really anything special about it.  However, due to the fact that my boyfriend is very much enamored with it, I will happily go see it and cheer all the while.  And hopefully I'll like it!

Pirates of Caribbean: On Stranger Tides

So.  I don't really feel like I need to say anything here.  Is there anyone who doesn't want to see this?  Why need I explain myself?

The Hangover 2

:D
I don't actually think I've even seen a preview for this.  Or if I have, it wasn't memorable enough for me to recall it.  But nonetheless, it would be hard for the movie to be bad.  The first one was absolutely hilarious, and even if this one ends up being less wonderful, it will still be well worth the wait and the money.

Kung Fu Panda: The Kaboom of Doom

One word:  Skadoosh.

The Green Lantern

Um.  Ryan Reynolds.

Now, while I personally find those two words to be reason enough to see this movie, there are other reasons as well.  I've never really read anything to do with the Green Lantern (or any of the other lanterns, for that matter), nor do I know anything about the plot, but the preview is definitely interesting.  Regardless of the fact that RR plays the main character, I'm quite excited to see this.

But Ryan Reynolds is definitely an added plus. LOVE HIM.

Cars 2

Okay.  I know that many of you will mentally scold me for what I'm about to say, but I really wasn't a big fan of the first Cars movie.  Yes, it was Pixar, and it was okay.  But to me it didn't have that wow factor that all of their other movies seem to have.  It was a lot more clichéd than the others, and none of the characters really had that unique spark that we've come to associate with the franchise.  I don't know.
I'm excited for this, but I have my doubts.

One For the Money

So I've heard little about this movie.  In fact, I didn't even know it was a movie until I was looking up release dates for the other movies on this list.
But this story is based on my favorite book series, a rather popular mystery/crime series by Janet Evanovich.  The books (which at the moment total 19 or 20?) are about the life of Stephanie Plum, a bond enforcement agent in New Jersey.  While the murders and drug dealings and bombings are all fun to read about, the major pull for this series is the comedy (in my opinion).  Katherine Heigl is playing the main character, which is cool.  She's always been good in romantic comedies and I really think that she can pull off the character of Stephanie well.
This is probably one of the movies that I'm most excited for just because of how much I love the books.  I just hope that they don't stray too much...but the plot summary on IMDB looks pretty good!

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part II

AAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

 Winnie the Pooh

Hey, it's a Winnie the Pooh movie! Who wouldn't want to see it??
Adorable!

Captain America: The First Avenger

Like Thor, I'm more into this movie due to my boyfriend.  But it still looks good...and man is he HOT.

Puss in Boots

UH, YEAH.  I didn't even know they were making a Puss in Boots movie! I totally dressed up as Puss for Halloween in Kindergarten.  I don't even know why/how I remember that...but I love him! He's so cute! And DreamWorks was awesome enough to give him his own movie?!?!?
AHH!

Happy Feet 2

The first one was cute, though sad.  There aren't any previews yet for this, so I have little to go on, but I see no reason why I shouldn't see it.  Hopefully it won't be as sad as its predecessor, though...

Sherlock Holmes:  A Game of Shadows

SO EXCITED.  Robert Downey Jr (who, for those of you who don't know, is one of my many lovers) was just amazing in the first Holmes film.  And I expect no less from this one, particularly with his continued work with Jude Law (another of my lovers...it's just an orgy of hot men!).

Alvin and the Chipmuks: Chipwrecked

Aw, these movies are just so cuuute!

----------
So yeah, this list is quite extensive, and to anyone who actually read it all: wow.  You must have been bored.  But I thank you for your dedication :P
Any opinions?  Agreements/disagreements?
